learn how to introduce oneself。make new friends。

learn how to obtain basic n from dialogues.

learn how to use some possessive adjectives.

Language points:

master the following sentence structures:

1) - What's your name?

My name is。

2) - Hi。My name's Gina.

I'm Jenny。Nice to meet you!

Nice to meet you。too.

3) what's = what is。I'm = I am。name's = name is.

master the following vocabulary:

1) New words: name。am。nice。meet。what。hello.

and

2) Personal pronouns and possessive adjectives: I。you。my。

your。his。her.

Note: Numbers and some possessive adjectives should be

introduced in the second and third lessons。but can be XXX in the

first lesson to give students a XXX.)

Difficulties: XXXXXX een male and female names。and to

errors in using personal and possessive pronouns.

g-up and n:

1) Play the ABC song or Hello song and have the students

sing along.

2) Greet the students warmly:

T: Hello!/Hi!

S: Hello!/Hi!

T: You are very beautiful/cool/。

S: Thank you.

S: (Guiding the students to answer) My name is Tom.

T: It's a good/nice name。I like your name.
