Important safety information
Read this important information carefully before
you use the appliance and its accessories and save
it for future reference. The accessories supplied
may vary for different products.
Danger
-Keep the supply unit dry (Fig. 2).
Warning
-To charge the battery, only use the detachable
supply unit (A00390) provided with the
appliance.
-The supply unit contains a transformer. Do not
cut off the supply unit to replace it with another
plug, as this causes a hazardous situation.
-This appliance can be used by children aged
from 8 years and above and persons with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities
or lack of experience and knowledge if they
have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance in a safe way
and understand the hazards involved. Children
shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and
user maintenance shall not be made by
children without supervision.
-Always check the appliance before you use it.
Do not use the appliance if it is damaged, as
this may cause injury. Always replace a
damaged part with one of the original type.
-Do not open the appliance to replace the
rechargeable battery.
Caution
-This appliance is not washable. Never immerse
the appliance in water and do not rinse it under
the tap (Fig. 2).
-Only use this appliance for its intended purpose
as shown in the user manual.
-For hygienic reasons, the appliance should only
be used by one person.
-Never use compressed air, scouring pads,
abrasive cleaning agents or aggressive liquids
such as petrol or acetone to clean the
appliance.
-Do not use the supply unit in or near wall
sockets that contain an electric air freshener to
prevent irreparable damage to the supply unit.
Electromagnetic fields (EMF)
This Philips appliance complies with all applicable
standards and regulations regarding exposure to
electromagnetic fields.
General
-The supply unit is suitable for mains voltages
ranging from 100 to 240 volts.
-The supply unit transforms 100-240 volts to a
safe low voltage of less than 24 volts.
Charging
Charge the appliance fully before you use it for the
first time and after a long period of disuse.
It takes approximately 10 hours to fully charge the
appliance. When it is fully charged, the appliance
has a cordless operating time of up to 45 minutes.
1Make sure the appliance is switched off.
2Insert the small plug into the appliance (Fig. 3).
3Put the supply unit in the wall socket.
-The charging light on the supply unit lights up
green to indicate that the product is charging.
Note: The charging light on the supply unit does
not change color and does not go out when the
product is fully charged.
rechargeable battery
When you have charged the appliance for the first
time, we advise you to use it until the battery is
completely empty. Continue to use the appliance
until the motor almost stops running during a
session. Then recharge the battery. Follow this
procedure at least twice a year.
-Slide the on/off button up to switch the
product on or off (Fig. 4).
Using the appliance
Note: Switch off and clean the appliance after each
use.
Always comb the beard and/or moustache with a
fine comb before you start trimming.
Be careful when you trim for the first time. Do
not move the trimmer too fast. Make smooth
and gentle movements.
Trimming with comb
Note: When you trim for the first time, start at the
highest length setting to familiarize yourself with
the appliance.
Use the trimming comb attached to the cutting
element to trim your beard and moustache in your
preferred style. Turn the zoom wheel to choose
from 11 length settings ranging from 0.5mm to
10mm (1/32in. to 13/32in.).
1Slide the trimming comb straight into the
guiding groove of the appliance (Fig. 5).
2Turn the zoom wheel to the desired setting (Fig.
6). The desired hair length setting is shown in
the center of the zoom wheel.
3Switch the appliance on.
4To trim most effectively, move the appliance
against the hair growth direction. Make sure
that the surface of the comb always stays in
contact with the skin.
Note: Since all hairs do not grow in the same
direction, you may want to try different
trimming positions (i.e., upwards, downwards, or
across). Practice is best for optimum results.
5Regularly remove cut hair from the comb. If a lot
of hair has accumulated in the comb, remove it
from the appliance and blow and/or shake out
the hairs (Fig. 7).The selected hair length setting
does not change when the comb is removed.
6Switch off and clean the product after each use
(see 'Cleaning').
Trimming for 'stubble look'
1Be certain trimming comb is attached to the
appliance and use setting 0.5mm (1/32in.) to
create a 'stubble look' trim (Fig. 8).
Trimming without comb
Use the trimmer without the trimming comb to trim
the edges and single hairs.
Be careful when you trim without the comb as
the cutting unit will remove every hair it
touches.
1Pull the trimming guard straight off the
appliance (Fig. 10).
2Switch the appliance on.
3Make well-controlled movements. Touch the
hair lightly with the trimmer (Fig. 9).
Cleaning
Never use scouring pads, abrasive cleaning agents
or aggressive liquids such as gasoline or acetone
to clean the product.
Never dry the trimmer teeth with a towel or tissue,
as this may damage the trimmer teeth.
Caution: Never use scouring pads, abrasive
cleaning agents or aggressive liquids such as
petrol or acetone to clean the appliance.
1Switch off the appliance and disconnect it from
the power outlet.
2Wipe the housing of the appliance with a dry
cloth.
Caution: Never immerse the appliance in water,
or rinse it under the tap. Only the cutting unit
can be rinsed under the tap.
3Remove the comb (Fig. 10) and clean it with the
cleaning brush and/or rinse it under the tap.
4Remove the cutting unit by pushing against the
teeth of the cutting unit (Fig. 11) and clean it with
the brush or rinse it under the tap.
5Carefully shake off excess water and let air dry
completely.
6Insert the lug of the cutting unit into the guiding
slot and push the cutting unit back onto the
appliance (Fig. 12).
Ordering accessories
To buy accessories or spare parts, visit
/service or go to your
Philips dealer. You can also contact the Philips
Consumer Care Center in your country (see the
international warranty leaflet for contact details).
Recycling
-Do not throw away the product with the normal
household waste at the end of its life, but hand
it in at an official collection point for recycling.
By doing this, you help to preserve the
environment.
-This product contains a built-in rechargeable
battery which shall not be disposed of with
normal household waste. Please take your
product to an official collection point or a
Philips service center to have a professional
remove the rechargeable battery.
-Follow your country’s rules for the separate
collection of electrical and electronic products
and rechargeable batteries. Correct disposal
helps prevent negative consequences for the
environment and human health.

Removing the rechargeable battery
Only remove the rechargeable battery when
you discard the product. Before you remove
the battery, make sure that the product is
disconnected from the wall socket and that
the battery is completely empty.
Take any necessary safety precautions when
you handle tools to open the product and
when you dispose of the rechargeable battery.
1Check if there are screws in the back or front of
the appliance. If so, remove them.
2Remove the back and/or front panel of the
appliance with a screwdriver. If necessary, also
remove additional screws and/or parts until you
see the printed circuit board with the
rechargeable battery.
3Remove the rechargeable battery.

使用连接了修剪部件的修剪梳齿将胡须和须髭修剪成自
己喜欢的风格。 旋转调节轮，从 11 种长度设置中进行
选择，长度范围在 0.5 毫米到 10 毫米（1/32 英寸到
13/32 英寸）之间。
1将修剪梳齿直接滑入产品 (图 4)的导槽中。
2将调节轮旋转到所需的设定 (图 5)。 所需的须发长
度设置显示在调节轮的中心。
3启动产品。
4如需要最高修剪效率，请逆着头发生长的方向移动
本产品。 确保修剪梳的表面始终接触皮肤。
注意： 由于并非所有的须发均按相同的方向生长，
因此您可能需要尝试不同的修剪位置（即向上、向
下或交叉）。 不断实践才能获得最佳效果。
5定期清除梳齿上的残留头发。 如果梳齿中积聚了大
量的须发，请将梳齿从产品中取出，然后通过吹气
和/或摇晃的方式将须发 (图 6)清除。取出梳齿时，
选定的须发长度设置不会发生更改。
6每次使用 (请参见 '清洁')后，请关闭电源并清洁修剪
器。
修剪“短茬形象”
1要塑造“短茬形象”形象，请确保将修剪梳齿连接
到本产品上，并使用 0.5 毫米（1/32 英寸）设置进
行修剪 (图 7)。
不使用修剪梳修剪
在不带修剪梳齿的情况下，用修剪器修剪边缘和单根胡
须。
由于修剪部件会去除接触到的每一根须发，因此在
不使用修剪梳进行修剪时要特别小心。
1将修剪网罩竖直抽离产品 (图 9)。
2启动产品。
3必须控制好产品的移动。 用修剪器 (图 8)轻轻触碰
须发。
清洁
切勿使用钢丝绒、研磨性清洗剂或腐蚀性液体（例如汽
油和丙酮）来清洁本产品。
切勿用毛巾或纸巾擦干修剪器齿，否则可能会损坏修剪
器齿。
警告： 切勿使用钢丝球、研磨性清洁剂或腐蚀性液体
（例如汽油或丙酮）来清洁本产品。
1关闭产品并与电源插座断开连接。
2使用干布擦拭产品表面。
警告： 切勿将本产品浸入水中，也不要在水龙头下
冲洗。 仅修剪部件可在水龙头下冲洗。
3取下梳齿 (图 9)，然后用清洁刷进行清洁和/或放在
水龙头下冲洗。
4朝修剪部件 (图 10)的齿方向推动以将其取下，然后
用清洁刷进行清洁或放在水龙头下冲洗。
5小心地甩掉多余的水份然后彻底晾干。
6将修剪部件的凸缘插入导向槽，然后将修剪部件推
回到产品 (图 11)上。
